S2: E1 | Managing Your Account Settings

You can view and update your account settings on the Settings page. Click on the Settings icon on the navigation bar. 

Here are all of your account details, you can update any of these details easily: profile photo, email, password, nickname, account type, date and time. 

Click on the pen image next to the detail you’d like to update. 

Next to PROFILE you’ll see DATE & TIME. Click on this to go to the DATE & TIME page. Here you can select the date and time formats for your GlasCore account

Uploading Your Profile Picture

To upload your profile picture go to Settings in the navigation bar —it’s the cog icon.

There you’ll find all your account details. Click on the edit pen next to your current profile picture.

Select the image from your desktop. Make sure your image is a maximum of 500 x 500 pixels. If you’d like to see how to resize your image follow one of these tutorials for windows or mac.

Changing Your Password

To change your password go to Settings in the navigation bar —it’s the cog icon.

There you’ll find all your account details. Click on the edit pen next to your current password. To change your password enter your current password and the new one twice.

We don’t have any password requirements, but recommend creating a secure and memorable password. When you’re done, click the green tick.

A message will appear on your screen confirming that your password has been updated.

Updating Your Email Address

To update your email address go to Settings in the navigation bar —it’s the cog icon. 

There you’ll find all your account details. Click on the edit pen next to your current email address. Enter your new email address twice and check it before clicking on the green tick. 

A message will appear confirming that you’ve requested to change your account email address. 

To verify and update your account email address follow the link we’ve emailed to you. If you can’t find the email in your inbox check your junk mail.

When you’ve found the email click on Verify Email Address. If the button doesn’t work you copy and paste the link below into your web browser. 

Now, enter your password twice and click UPDATE EMAIL ADDRESS. A message will appear confirming that your email address has been updated.

Changing Your Username

To change your username go to Settings in the navigation bar —it’s the cog icon.

There you’ll find all your account details. Click on the edit pen next to your current username.

To change your username enter the new one you’d like to use. When you’re done, click the green tick.

A message will appear on your screen confirming that your username has been changed.

Date and Time Settings

To change your date and time settings go to Settings in the navigation bar —it’s the cog icon. Then click on DATE AND TIME.

There you’ll find all the date and time formats available to you. Tick the boxes next to the date and time values you’d like to see in your GlasCore account. Select the time format in the drop down bar below Time.

S2: E2 Resizing Your Profile Picture

Resizing Your Profile Picture in Mac

To resize your profile picture open your image in Photos. 

Click Edit in the top right corner of the image window. 

In edit mode go to the top of the window and click Crop. Select Square in the column to the right of your image. You can also adjust your image. When you’re finished click Done in the top right corner.

Drag your image out of Photos and onto your desktop. Click on your image once to open it in Preview.

From the top menu bar click on Tools and then Adjust Size. Enter an image width and height of 500 pixels. 

Check that your image size meets GlasCore’s requirements of 500 x 500 pixels. Right click on your image and select Get info.

And that’s how you resize your image in Mac.

Resizing Your Profile Picture in Windows

To resize your profile picture open your image in Photos. 

Click Crop in the top of the image window. Now, go to the right of the crop window and select Aspect ratio and Square in the drop-down bar. Go to the bottom right corner of your screen and click Save a copy.

Open your image again in Photos. Click on the See More dots in the top right corner of the image window. Click Resize in the drop-down bar.

Select the preset for profile pictures and thumbnails and save your image. 

Check that your image meets GlasCore’s requirements of 500 x 500 pixels. Open your image in Photos. Click on the See More dots in the top right corner of the image window. Select File information in the drop-down bar. Your image’s dimensions will appear in a column on the left.

And that’s how you resize your image in Windows.
